A woman is a fortune and never should be seen as a sex object by any man, that was what I thought when I read the book stories-from-my-father-by-Barack-Obama. I came across a few lines that made see that some men in Kenya are allowed to hit their wives when they don't follow the precept of their husbands. How pathetic. This scenario however is not new To Africa.

According to the UN Women, It is estimated that 35 per cent of women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or sexual violence by a non-partner (not including sexual harassment) at some point in their lives. However, some national studies show that up to 70 per cent of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime

Why should Women go through this ordeal when they have greater responsibilities at hand. Women from all ramifications are born leaders. Without having to go to school to learn, women can take good care of their young children, the home, start up small thriving businesses, get committed at religious gatherings and still find time for other things. Amidst all, they are still able to keep things in order without one pulling back the other.

Women are indeed natural born leaders and I have further explained below why women should be given leadership position without any cause for sentiment on gender.

AMAZING QUALITIES IN WOMEN THAT MAKES THEM BORN LEADERS

• They’re good at multitasking.

“Women make great leaders as we are natural multitaskers. The ability to decisively and quickly respond to simultaneous and different tasks or problems at a time is a critical component to successful leadership.” — Carolann Tutera, president, SottoPelle. Aside the fact this is coming from a woman, I have explained earlier how a woman can multitask even without having to learn that and for effective leadership, a multitasker is well fitted.

They always want the best for anyone close to their heart.

Women take pride in seeing other people in their team growing individually. They want people to move forward in their life, that is why they seem to motivate people in their team to grow. This is a trait that every leader should possess otherwise employees won’t be able to connect with their leader.

They are emotionally intelligent.

Also, I have come to notice how Women have good emotional intelligence. When it comes to leadership, they know how to relate with people, how to talk in crisis without hurting anyone. They easily understand mood of individuals and so easily device a way to talk to such person. Since it is in their nature to be motherly, emotional intelligence would not be a hard thing to chew for them.

Women are good communicators.

Leadership and communication go hand in hand. In order to be a great leader, you must be able to communicate well — and, ideally, should be able to inspire and motivate others — to help bring them on board. Women have better communicating skills and according to Dr. Susan Sheerwood, this is a result of women being more discussion oriented and men wanting to just take action. Men communicate through activities rather than conversations. Added to this is their effectiveness in listening to people which is very important for a leader to develop.

• They are easy to work with.

Women are very easy to work with because of the kind of atmosphere they create at work. Women can be very unstable as some men would say, yes I would agree to that but also men too can be unstable and that makes both sex sometimes unstable due to health, bad news or any other factors. Women find time to joke with their subordinates when the workload is less and this feeling created has a way of making calm the nerves of the workers around the boss. This circumstance create room for easy partnership between the boss and the workers.

Without any room for sentiment, Women are born leaders and should be allowed to by the Men Who have so dominated all sectors to practice leadership not just at home but across board.
